Where Brașov's kilometre zero is: local press places it at the Old Town Hall on Council Square, and why two of our apartments carry its name.

Council Square (Piața Sfatului) is the heart of Brașov's old town, and local press names the Old Town Hall (Casa Sfatului) in its middle as the city's “kilometre zero” – the point from which distances are measured, for example the distance to Bucharest. From there you can walk to the Black Church, Rope Street and Republicii Street.
Council Square is the central square of the old town. The Old Town Hall, built around 1420, stands in its middle and today houses the Brașov County History Museum. Around the square are 18th–19th century houses, many of them listed historic monuments.
Two of our apartments are called Piața Brassai KM 0 and Piața Sfatului KM 0. The name says they are close to the old town's zero point: at Strada Mureșenilor 1, a few minutes' walk from Council Square, in a quiet inner courtyard.
